Kim M. Ruder is a Partner at Dermer Appel Ruder, LLC, a personal injury law firm based in Norcross, Georgia, where she represents individuals injured in serious accidents. A native Atlantan, she grew up in a family of attorneys, which played an important role in shaping her interest in the legal field.

Kim earned her law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, graduating at the top of her class and receiving multiple academic honors. Following law school, she began her legal career at a leading insurance defense firm in Atlanta, where she represented major insurance companies and corporate clients in complex litigation involving commercial vehicles, construction companies, healthcare providers, and other large organizations.

Through her defense experience, Kim developed a strong understanding of how insurance companies evaluate and handle claims. She later transitioned to plaintiff-side personal injury law, joining Adam Appel and Stephen Dermer to advocate for injured individuals and families.

Today, Kim Ruder represents clients in motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability cases, and other serious injury matters, guiding them through each stage of the legal process with focus and care.
