Lewis C. Montana, Esq. is a partner at Levine & Montana in Peekskill, New York. He has been a partner with the firm since 1980 and has more than 40 years of legal experience.

Mr. Montana focuses his civil practice on condominium and cooperative law, residential community associations, residential and commercial real estate, business matters, mortgage lending, wills and estates, and probate.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Montana served as an Assistant Attorney General with the New York State Department of Law in the Bureau of Real Estate Financing and Bureau of Securities. In that role, he reviewed real estate financing offering plans and examined condominium, cooperative housing, and homeowners’ association offering plans. He also worked with New York laws concerning the registration and exemption of interstate securities offerings.

Mr. Montana received his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1976. He earned his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Fordham University, where he majored in Economics, was named to the Dean’s List, and was selected for Phi Beta Kappa.

He is admitted to practice law in New York as well as before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Mr. Montana has been involved with numerous legal and professional organizations throughout his career and has also authored several articles addressing real estate and community association law.
